The system scientist is expected to understand the detailed system operation of the LTPS crystallization tool. This is a multidisciplinary system, with optics, stage, laser, metrology, electronics and software control, and the successful candidate will display the ability to work across multi-disciplinary boundaries to understand the complex interactions and ensure successful operation of the tool. The system scientist will be able to define critical experiments and interpret data to identify the performance of the tool, as well as clarifying the interactions between the optical performance and process results obtained during customer experiments. The system scientist will work closely with the extended development team to define the system architecture. In addition, the system scientist will interact with customers in helping to optimize the tool performance and integrate the tool into the particular display processes used by each customer.
Day to day responsibilities will include planning and execution of experiments, gathering and interpretation of experimental data, advising management on technical aspects of system performance and operation, and providing technical recommendations on problem solution paths as well as new opportunities. The system scientist is also expected to provide guidance as to key system design features for new tools, and will work closely with Marketing & Development teams to define the requirements for next generation products.

Fluent in speaking, reading and writing in English; additional languages (Korean, Mandarin, Japanese) would be helpful. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Must have strong ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
The position is primarily located at the TCZ headquarters in Singapore. The employee will periodically interact with customers, and should expect to spend approx. 25% of his or her time traveling.
